5-Year Finish Warranty & Care Guide

Our Coastal Collection is specifically designed for outdoor environments and features finishes engineered for enhanced resistance to rust, corrosion, fading, and weathering.

We stand behind the durability of these finishes with a 5-Year Limited Finish Warranty.

Proper installation, regular cleaning, and routine maintenance are recommended to preserve the appearance and longevity of your fixture.

5-Year Limited Finish Warranty

We warrant that the finish on the body of products within our Coastal Collection will be free from rusting and fading caused by defects in the finish for a period of five (5) years from the date of original purchase.

The warranty covers premature rusting, corrosion of the finished surface, and fading of the finish on the body of the fixture when such conditions occur within the five-year warranty period.

Fixture Body vs. Mounting Hardware

The 5-Year Finish Warranty applies specifically to the body and exterior finished surfaces of the fixture.

Certain mounting and installation components—including screws, fasteners, brackets, mounting plates, nuts, washers, and other hardware—may be constructed from materials or finishes that are not rust-resistant or corrosion-resistant to the same degree as the fixture body.

Rust or corrosion of mounting hardware is therefore not covered by the 5-Year Finish Warranty unless that specific hardware is expressly identified as rust-resistant or otherwise covered by a separate warranty.

Because mounting hardware may be particularly susceptible to moisture and salt-air exposure, proper installation and sealing are especially important in coastal environments.

Coastal Installation Recommendation

For installations in coastal, oceanfront, waterfront, or high-humidity environments, we strongly recommend applying an appropriate exterior-grade sealant or caulk around the perimeter of the fixture where it meets the mounting surface.

Properly sealing the perimeter of the fixture helps prevent water, moisture, and salt-laden air from reaching the mounting hardware and the area behind the fixture, which can help reduce premature corrosion of hardware and other installation components.

The installer should use a sealant appropriate for the installation surface and environment and follow all applicable installation instructions and building and electrical codes.

Caulking should not block required drainage, ventilation, weep holes, or other openings designed as part of the fixture.

What Is Covered

During the five-year warranty period, the following conditions affecting the body of the fixture are covered:

• Rusting of the fixture body

• Corrosion of the finished surface of the fixture body

• Fading of the fixture body's finish

• Premature deterioration of the finish attributable to a defect in materials or workmanship

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

• Rust or corrosion of mounting hardware, fasteners, screws, brackets, mounting plates, or other installation components that are not specifically warranted as rust-resistant or corrosion-resistant

• Damage to the fixture or finish caused by physical impact, scratching, abrasion, vandalism, or misuse

• Damage caused by improper installation, modification, alteration, or unauthorized repair

• Damage caused by failure to follow the product's installation instructions

• Damage caused by improper cleaning or the use of abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, solvents, or other cleaning products not recommended for the fixture

• Damage caused by pressure washing or high-pressure cleaning

• Damage caused by exposure to chemicals such as chlorine, pool chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, or other corrosive substances beyond normal environmental exposure

• Damage caused by electrical installation that does not comply with applicable codes or the product's installation requirements

• Damage resulting from installation or use of the product in an application for which it was not intended

• Labor, removal, reinstallation, installation, or other incidental costs associated with a warranty claim, unless otherwise required by applicable law

Glass Warranty Exclusion

The warranty does not cover damage to glass components, including breakage, cracking, chipping, scratching, or damage resulting from impact, improper handling, installation, cleaning, or other external causes. Glass is a fragile component and is excluded from coverage under the product warranty.

Warranty Scope

This warranty applies exclusively to lighting products within the Coastal Collection. Coastal Collection ceiling fans and other fan products are subject to a separate warranty with different warranty periods and terms. Please refer to the applicable fan warranty for complete details regarding coverage.

Discontinued or Unavailable Products

If a product covered under this warranty is no longer available or has been discontinued, we reserve the right to provide the customer with a replacement product of equal value in lieu of the original product. The replacement product may differ in design, style, finish, size, or specifications from the original product.

Warranty Claims

If a covered rusting or fading issue occurs during the five-year warranty period, please contact us with proof of purchase and photographs clearly showing the condition of the fixture.

Upon review of a valid warranty claim, we may, at our discretion:

1. Repair the affected component;

2. Replace the affected component or fixture; or

3. Provide an appropriate replacement or other remedy.

This warranty provides the remedies stated above and is subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Care & Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will help preserve the appearance of your Coastal Collection fixture and minimize the accumulation of salt, dirt, pollutants, and other substances that can affect exterior finishes and hardware.

Routine Cleaning

1. Turn off power to the fixture and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

2. Remove loose dirt, dust, salt, and debris with a soft, dry or damp microfiber cloth.

3. For more thorough cleaning, use mild soap mixed with clean water.

4. Gently wipe the fixture using a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge.

5. Rinse with clean water to remove any soap residue.

6. Dry the fixture thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth.

Salt-Air Maintenance

Salt deposits can accumulate on outdoor fixtures, particularly in coastal environments. Regular removal of these deposits helps protect the fixture's finish and installation hardware.

For coastal installations, we recommend:

• Periodically rinsing the fixture with fresh, clean water.

• Gently removing salt deposits with a soft cloth.

• Avoiding prolonged accumulation of salt or other deposits on the fixture.

• Drying the fixture after cleaning when practical.

• Periodically inspecting the fixture and mounting hardware for signs of corrosion or damage.

• Addressing any damaged, chipped, or scratched areas promptly.

Cleaning Products to Avoid

To protect the finish, do not use:

• Abrasive cleaners

• Scouring pads

• Steel wool

• Abrasive or stiff brushes

• Bleach or chlorine-based cleaners

• Ammonia-based cleaners

• Solvents

• Harsh chemical cleaners

• Polishing compounds or metal polishes unless specifically approved for the fixture's finish

• Pressure washers or high-pressure sprays

Do not allow cleaning solutions, pool chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, irrigation chemicals, or other corrosive substances to remain on the fixture.

Important Coastal Care Note

The Coastal Collection's 5-Year Finish Warranty provides protection against rusting and fading of the fixture body. However, the warranty does not necessarily extend to mounting hardware or other installation components that are not specifically designed or warranted to be rust-resistant.

For this reason, proper installation and maintenance are particularly important in coastal environments. Sealing around the perimeter of the fixture is strongly recommended to help prevent water and salt air from reaching the mounting hardware.

Regular cleaning, inspection, and proper sealing can help extend the service life of both the fixture and its installation hardware.
